Westgate Preschool and Kindergarten is blessed to have all of you be part of our lives. We can’t wait to meet and get to know your children everyday that we get to have them. Yes, they are growing so fast and time is just going by. Parents, take time and enjoy them for they are small for only a short period!

Fall is here…. and our Half-Day Kindergarten class has been a great addition to our school!

Here’s what’s happening…

  • There has been a CHANGE of DATE and LOCATION for our ALL SCHOOL field trip! It is now on Monday, October 9th, to Swans Trail Farms in Snohomish!
  • Picture Days for our students are coming up! Please see your classroom teacher for the specific day of when your class will have their pictures taken.
    • PHOTO DAYS are on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, October 18, 19 & 20

Please see our School Year Events for more information!

Many classes are full for the Fall. Our new families registration starts in February, 2024. Please inquire in the school office. We are so glad to have so many of you back with us!

Here are some First Day of School Tips:

  • Attending the Preschool Sneak Peek and the Kindergarten Kick-off and allowing your child to meet his/her teacher and see the classroom, will ease your child into the first day of school.
  • Do some pretend play with your child about how you will go to school and how you will say goodbye. Imagine waking up, having breakfast, getting in the car or bus, walking in the door, and kissing goodbye.
  • Agree on a goodbye ritual: How many kisses, hugs, etc.
  • Make sure your child is clear on who will pick him/her up and when.
  • Allow enough time! Make sure you awaken early enough to have a relaxing morning, with time to dress and eat a good breakfast.
  • Don’t hang around peering through windows after you have said goodbye. Once your child sees that you are reluctant to leave, it will make it more difficult for them.
  • BRING TISSUES! This may be harder for you than your child. Please know that we are here to love our children!

Please remember….

  • Rain or Shine bring your coats.
  • Please be on time to your class.
  • Please NEVER leave your child(ren) unattended while you are dropping off or picking up.
  • Parents keep your kids with you at all  times, even when you are visiting other parents.
  • We believe in keeping our children safe!

Mainly, pray for us as we teach your sweet children. Let us know if you have a prayer need as well. We will pray and Seek God’s wisdom.

Lord Bless each of our Gifts today!
